Chilling Twist: Abandoned Mercedes Holds Key Evidence in AKA Murder Investigation

In a chilling twist to the investigation surrounding the murder of renowned musician AKA, authorities have uncovered a trove of unsettling evidence in an abandoned Mercedes Benz allegedly connected to the assailants.

Among the disturbing items discovered at the scene were rifle cartridges, muthi (traditional medicine), and matchsticks positioned at the mouth of a petrol tank, painting a macabre picture of the events surrounding the heinous crime.

The vehicle in question was reportedly used by the suspects in a separate incident, where they unleashed a barrage of gunfire, resulting in the death of one individual, injuries to another, and chaos on the streets as they made their escape.

The harrowing ordeal unfolded on March 6, 2023, less than a month following the tragic slaying of Kiernen “AKA” Forbes and his associate Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane in Durban. According to an affidavit from the National Prosecuting Authority, the targeted attack occurred as the wife of a taxi boss in Umlazi, Durban, was transporting a man who aided her in obtaining taxi operating permits.

As the gunmen ambushed the vehicle, the woman frantically sought refuge behind her steering wheel while cries for help pierced the air. Tragically, her passenger fell victim to the hail of bullets, succumbing to fatal injuries within the car.

Upon examination of the abandoned Mercedes Benz, investigators unearthed a sinister tableau: spent rifle cartridge cases strewn across the interior, bullet holes riddling the driver’s side window, and peculiar markings including Coca-Cola splatters and burnt matchsticks placed strategically at the petrol tank’s entrance.

Further scrutiny revealed the vehicle’s falsified registration plates, indicating it had been stolen just months prior to the incident. A crucial breakthrough emerged as authorities identified Siphamandla Ngcobo, who was traced through airtime purchases made shortly before the attack, linking him to the robbery involving the stolen Mercedes Benz.

Subsequent investigations, aided by cellphone records and vehicle tracking systems, led authorities to identify Siyabonga Ndimande as the alleged mastermind behind AKA’s murder, with his brother, Lindelani Ndimande, implicated in providing directives for the execution of the crime.

The revelation of these chilling details has sent shockwaves through the community, as the net tightens around the suspected perpetrators in connection with the senseless killings of AKA, Tibz, and others. As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain vigilant in their pursuit of justice, determined to bring closure to the families of the victims and apprehend those responsible for these horrific acts of violence.
