Actress Terry Pheto’s home linked to siphoned Lotto funds to be auctioned

Terry-Pheto1

The Johannesburg home of award-winning actress Terry Pheto is being auctioned. It follows a preservation order granted to the Asset Forfeiture Unit to freeze Pheto’s Bryanston home.

According to the Special Investigating Unit, the funds used to build the home are linked to the siphoning of money from the National Lottery Commission.

That money is alleged to have come from a non-profit organisation awarded NLC funding, meant for the roll-out of a public health campaign.

The total price of the property and the home is believed to be around R5-million. Pheto’s legal representatives previously indicated that they would not contest the preservation order.
