Speculations suggests that rapper Emtee should be behind bars following a case of assault opened against him. However, the confusion has come about following the Roll Up hit-maker tweeting every hour like a free man. The rapper handed himself yesterday to the police for assaulting his wife.
Social media was abuzz after learning about rapper Emtee’s assault case from his wife, Nicole Chinsamy. Following a video that was making rounds on social media where Emtee and Chinsamy were captured in a argument. Immediately Chinsamy revealed the abuse allegations with her bruised arm as proof.
According to the City Press, Emtee handed himself to the police yesterday and was charged with assault.
“Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo confirmed Ndevu’s arrest and subsequent court appearance. As per the case you provided, the police can confirm that the suspect handed himself to the police and he was charged with assault and taken to court where he was granted bail. He handed himself in on Wednesday, March 8, and he was taken to the Midrand Magistrates’ Court the same day,” wrote City Pres
Emtee was exposed for assaulting Chinsamy on Valentine’s Day. And with the help of a non-profit women’s organization, Women For Change, Chinsamy was eventually assisted to lay an assault charge against Emtee. However, the confusion is now already brewing whether or not Emtee was apprehended in the first place. The rapper is currently active on social media and tweeting every two seconds like a free man.

It was not a train smash to witness that over the weekend rapper Emtee was super active on Twitter, while still maintaining his innocence to those were calling him an abuser. It never came across as someone who has been apprehended, hence the outraged on Twitter.

The assault was against Emtee’s wife and mother of his two children Nicole Chinsamy, who was also seven months pregnant with their third child. And Emtee is out on bail.
