Da L.E.S honours AKA at all-white party – WATCH

After rescheduling his all-white party following his bestie AKA’s death, DA L.E.S made sure his exclusive event was one to remember.

The rapper and star of Love & Hip Hop South Africa threw his annual bash at his Bryanston home on Saturday, 25 February.

In a clip posted from the infamous all-white party, DA L.E.S – real name Leslie Mampe – remembered his best friend AKA, Kiernan Forbes.

He told the crowd: “Last year we paid tribute to Riky Rick. [This year] Super Mega is watching down on us as an angel. He will live through all of us”.

The “North God” star and crew then released white balloons into the air. He added: “Rest in peace AKA. We love you so much. The world is yours, heaven is yours.”

DA L.E.S and AKA’s close friendship comes a year after they squashed their beef at Cotton Fest last year. This followed the festival founder Riky Rick’s death by suicide in February 2022.

During the show AKA brought Da Les out as part of his Cotton Fest act.

The friends – who go back to Tropika Island of Treasure season five days in 2013 – performed their hit songs Real Stuff and All Eyes on Me.

According to insiders, Da L.E.S cut ties with AKA after the latter was reportedly linked to his baby mama Aurea Alexander.

In 2020, rumours of a rift were intensified after Da L.E.S released his single Gucci Snakes, which boasted the lyrics: “N***as try to bite your soul just to take your place. Try to f*** your baby mama to see how it tastes”.
