AKA’s Mom Breaks Silence On Suspects Arrest

Through an Instagram post on March 29, AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes broke her silence regarding the suspected suspects’ arrests in association with the rapper’s death.

On February 10, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, better known by his stage name AKA, and his companion Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot and killed in front of the Wish eatery on Florida Road in Durban.

Three suspects are reportedly in custody in Cape Town in relation to the assassination of AKA, according to IOL. According to reports, the accused are still being held by Cape Town authorities.

According to reports, the accused will be taken to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), where they are anticipated to face charges. Later, Netwerk24 reported that two additional men had been detained in Belhar by police after being pursued by them for several weeks.

AKA’s parents, Tony and Lynn Forbes, issued a statement in response to the Megacy’s response to the apprehension of suspects.

“Words fail us to express our appreciation for the outpouring of affection we have gotten from the Megacy. The assassination of Kiernan has left many people angry, wounded, and desiring justice. As a family, we empathise with the grief experienced and we understand your pain,” she wrote.

The family is worried, according to Lynn, that the allegations and presumptions will do more damage than good.

“We are conscious of the increasing public unhappiness regarding the investigation’s advancement. But as a family, we are very worried that careless deeds, suppositions, and statements might do more damage than good,” she added.

We now urge the Megacy to mourn appropriately and to show tolerance so that law enforcement can carry out their duties. We respectfully ask that you continue to honor Kiernan’s life, keep his remembrance alive, and carry on his heritage by listening to his music. We find solace in your joyful commemoration of his life,” she said.

The mom of two went on to warn fans that they have not asked for any donations.

“Lastly, we would like to bring to your attention that there are false requests for donations and investments from people posing as members of the Forbes family. We have not opened any donation accounts or requested investments,” she added
