Tickets to AKA’s memorial sold out!

MEMORIAL service tickets for late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes (35) are sold out.

This as his family and friends are getting ready to celebrate his life at on Friday, 17 February.

After the memorial and funeral details of the rapper were revealed on Tuesday, 14 February, his family said they wanted to celebrate his journey with his fans.

AKA was shot and killed in Durban, KZN, on Friday, 10 February. His memorial service will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre, and he will be laid to rest in a public provincial funeral on Saturday.

On Wednesday, his family issued a statement regarding the memorial.

“Megacy. Thank you for your overwhelming response to Supa Mega’s celebration of life. All tickets have been fully subscribed and no more tickets will be allocated or issued,” it read.

The family further said if anyone did not have tickets, they could still be part of the celebration through online streaming.

“It is important to note that no tickets were sold, and encourage you not to send money to anyone selling tickets. We humbly request that non-ticket holders do not come to the venue. Absolutely no tickets will be issued at the door,” read the statement.
