Three High School Students Lost Their Lives In A tragic Accident

Three high school students lost their lives in a tragic accident while returning from a ‘pens-down’ party, prompting the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Mbali Frazer, to personally visit their grieving families.

The fatal incident occurred on the N11 in the Amajuba District.

The victims, Thandokuhle Khumalo (19), Luyanda Vilakazi (18), and Anele Majola (18), students at Mnyamande Secondary School in Newcastle, were described as dedicated individuals with immense potential by their teachers.

Three other students are reported to be hospitalized. MEC Frazer expressed deep condolences, emphasizing the collective goal of fostering the success and prosperity of all learners.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) Chief Whip, Dr Imran Keeka, extended condolences and urged caution regarding ‘pens-down’ parties in the wake of this tragic event.
