Tebello Motsoane, popularly known as Tibz and his rapper friend Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, also known by his stage name AKA, were shot and killed outside Wish on Florida, Morningside, on Friday, 10 February, and the Motsoane family held a memorial service for their “only son” Tibz; a clip showing AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai cuddling his ex-girlfriend/baby mama DJ Zinhle had Twitter users divided in the comment section.
Tibz’s memorial service was held at Sacred Heart College in Observatory, Johannesburg, on Thursday, 16 February 2023.
AKA’s family, his girlfriend Nadia Nakai, and the mother to his seven-year-old daughter Kario were all attendees at the service.
A video showing Nadia Nakai walking with a woman who appeared to be DJ Zinhle with her arms wrapped around the the woman as she consoled her outside the memorial venue caused quite a stir online.
After watching the clip, Twitter users argued among themselves, one perspective was that AKA’s ex was a married woman and should not be grieving another man in public.
Others were impressed and shared that if the woman in the clip was DJ Zinhle, then the lady’s “maturity” was commendable. The online user’s were baffled at netizens who were not happy to see the women leaning on each other to mourn the late rapper.
According to Zalebs, AKA’s baby mama and his girlfriend have always been on good terms. Nadia Nakai has reportedly made that clear on many occasions.
Despite looking hurt, Nadia Nakai has been very collected since AKA’s death. During the Forbes family press briefing earlier this week, she was also seen comforting AKA’s mother, Lynn.
