The television programme Moja Love has officially announced the passing of one of its talented actors, Sthembele Gaju, better known by his stage name Gogo Mathambo, who hosted “Fake Gobela.”
It was verified in a statement posted on Moja Love’s social media accounts that Gaju passed away on Tuesday morning following a brief illness.
The statement said, “His passing comes as a great loss to the channel as he was gifted and passionate about making a difference in the community.”
The host bravely battled to expose the injustices and bogus gobelas that were occuring.
“Gogo Mathambo bravely exposed the abuses occuring in that area as well as the false sangomas and gobelas.
“The channel sends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. His contribution will be hugely missed,” they added.
While the posts were filled with many who shared their heartfelt condolences, others used the moment to share their views on Moja Love’s situation with their former talent Xolani Khumalo who was let go by the channel earlier this month.
“The channel will not be commenting on any matters relating to Mr Khumalo at this stage and wishes him everything of the best in his future endeavours”, read the statement issued by Siyaya TV Channels spokesperson Nonzwakazi Cekete in a statement.
The decision comes after the presenter and his crew in July landed in hot water after an interrogation led to a man’s death.
Many fans and viewers felt that Khumalo being let go was not justified and it seems they haven’t forgotten about it.
