The 29-year-old’s body was found along the road near Lokaleng village, Mahikeng on 27 January 2023, according to Women for Change.

A missing woman’s body belonging to Rorisang Baakwalanya, was found burnt beyond recognition in Mahikeng.

It is reported that when her family contacted the boyfriend because they could not get hold of her, he told them he also doesn’t know where she is because she left after they had a fight.

“After the family was unable to locate her, they reported her missing to the police. She was found two days later. Police confirmed, that the post-mortem report could not establish her cause of death, the motive is unknown at this stage and no arrest has been made yet,” the organisation reported.

Rorisang apparently leaves behind three children, an 11-month-old baby which she had left with the nanny and two older children that stayed in Rustenburg with her family.

“This is heartbreaking, know this beautiful soul from Magojaneng, Kuruman, and her life was cut short brutally by a monster just like that, a young lady, harmless and defenceless, the late Martha and Joe Baakwalanya’s last born, may your soul rest in peace Rorisang, Lord heal our land,” Amo Malwetse also reacted.

“The funeral of our beloved little sister Rorisang Baakwalanya will be held at home in Kuruman on Saturday the 4th of February 2023 at Diamond View. Time is 6:00am,” a family member posted the funeral arrangements.

Who killed Rorisang Baakwalanya remains an unanswered question. This is a developing story.
