In a night of celebration and recognition, the acclaimed South African singer Makhadzi emerged victorious at the South African Music Awards 2023, securing the prestigious title for Best Traditional Album with her masterpiece, “African Queen 2.0.”

I love you very much, and I mean it. I am who I am because of you. Without you, I am nothing.”

The singer also extended her gratitude to the team that collaborated with her on the award-winning album. Recognizing their collective effort, Makhadzi named key contributors, including Papa Penny from Open Mic Production, Mr. Brown, Prince Benza, Master Azart, Mizo Phyll, Master KG, Cassel P, and Lowshen.

As a bonus for her dedicated followers, Makhadzi announced the release of the “Mapara” music video, scheduled to drop on Friday, November 24, promising an exciting visual complement to her acclaimed album.
