NIGERIAN superstar, Davido, is currently in Mzansi.
The Fall hitmaker launched a partnership with alcohol brand, Martell on Wednesday, 29 March.
Martell launched a new bottle called the Martell Blue Swift and officially announced their partnership with Davido.
Speaking about his trip to Mzansi, Davido said: “I’m excited to be back in South Africa. More especially because I’m also here with this brand, which is my favourite drink, it’s smooth. I love everything about them including how they do business.”
There’s a new advert for the partnership and the singer-songwriter said there’s more coming from the deal.
“This partnership didn’t just come out of nowhere. I’ve been following this brand for a long time, and I’ve always loved the drink. So, I’m glad we finally got together and sealed the deal. It’s amazing to see how beautifully this partnership is going.
“Apart from this, we’ll do a big concert. We’ll share more work from this,” he said.
The musician is also preparing to drop his new album here in Mzansi.
“I’ll also be launching my new album titled Timeless here in South Africa on Friday. It drops on 31 March,” said the singer.
The brand’s marketing director, Nthabiseng Motsoeneng, said choosing Davido was an easy decision to make.
“One thing that stands out about Davido is that he is one of the most destructive in the game. He’s challenging the game in order to change the game. He is a standout swift.
“And that is a person who is able to take the ball and audaciously disrupt. And they change the face of things.”
