Black Coffee Attends State Of The Nation Address After Plane Incident
Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee, found himself in the spotlight ahead of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s 2024 State of the Nation address after his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Montevideo Airport due to severe turbulence.

The 47-year-old sustained injuries during the incident and has been recuperating at home ever since. News of his accident caused a stir, with fans from both local and international spheres sending him well-wishes.
Sporting a neck brace, Black Coffee was spotted in the audience, accompanied by one of his children, attentively listening to Ramaphosa’s address. His accident once again brought attention to his failed marriage with Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, sparking public interest and prompting discussions about her response to her ex-husband’s misfortune.

In an attempt to address misconceptions, Mlotshwa took to Instagram Live to clarify matters, including addressing criticism she faced for a seemingly unrelated meme posted shortly after news of Black Coffee’s accident broke. As Black Coffee continues to recuperate, he remains on hiatus from his demanding schedule, yet to return to the stage for performances.
