Since leaving the Big Brother Mzansi house last year, Reality TV stars Themba Broly Mabaso and Michelle Mphowabadimo Mvundla’s relationship has been one rollercoaster.
Mphowabadimo walked off with a win of R2 million and Themba with a supportive fanbase that created a GofundMe account of over half a million Rands.
Mphowabadimo and Themba who started dating after the reality show have since broken up.
This is a few months after announcing they were expecting a baby and Themba was in the process of paying lobola. Themba recently opened up to ZiMoja after Mphowabadimo broke up with him on social media saying that he is in the process of trying to win her back. “I am going to fight for our relationship, I don’t care who says what.
I know I messed up.” Themba said at the time that he was in the process of finalising lobola negotiations with Mpho’s family. “I will call the whole family If I have to. I just want to make things right.”
But Mphowabadimo says she has no interest in patching the relationship. In a statement, the mom-to-be says that due to the ongoing stories about her past relationship, her personal life is affected in every aspect.
“I have been receiving death threats; from calls to texts threatening my life and my son’s life till today. Those threats have been direct, and it has created a very hostile situation for me and those close to me,” she says. “I’ve been receiving pictures of my car, home, and son with threats,” Mpho says. “Some of these messages and calls are coming from people close to the person I was in a relationship with.”
Mphowabadimo says she is resolving the matter legally. “I have been in talks with my lawyer and seeking further advice and will not be doing any media interviews about my past relationship,” she says.
“I m trying so hard to move away from this chapter but the defamation that has come with it hasn’t been pleasant to the extent of threats leading to my unborn baby, son, and myself.”
The sangoma and aspiring TV presenter says she has no interest whatsoever in her ex’s life or what he does as their relationship ended a long-time ago and they haven’t been in contact in a while.
“The constant posting of my images on his page and talk about me on interviews are in contradictory to reality and truth,” Mpho says.
“I ask that we move with respect and consideration and allow me to detach myself with grace anything else will be addressed to and by my lawyer to anyone involved to date respectively. My safety comes first,” she concludes.
