The robbers escaped with an undisclosed sum of money, Samsung cellphones valued at R4,500, and two bottles of Cognac worth R1,200.
The stolen funds were intended for lobola, emphasizing the need for caution regarding cash storage at home, especially for specific transactions like lobola payments, traditional healer initiation fees, and stokvel contributions.
Authorities advise conducting such transactions at a bank to mitigate the risk of robberies.
