Big Zulu, actual name Siyabonga Nene, has addressed a long-running social media joke regarding his sexuality.
This comes when prominent X influencer @AdvoBarryRoux went to Instagram to repost wedding photos of the Inkabi Records CEO’ lookalike.
Last year, photographs of the purported homosexual pair went viral, with Big Zulu’s name leading the trending list. Trolls claimed at the time that the hip hop star had married his high school love.
When the photographs were revived this time, Big Zulu lambasted the accusations, informing the troll that they were humilating, defaming, and insulting.

“This is a slander of my name (or character).” Please respect me because respect has gotten me where I am now. I’m a mature guy with children, and seeing this garbage you posted would irritate them. I have a family that I urge you to respect; if you don’t respect me, that’s OK.”
Meanwhile, Big Zulu was nominated for a South African Music Awards (SAMAs) on Tuesday, October 3.
The Inhlupheko hitmaker has been nominated for Best Traditional Album for his album Inkabi Nation.
The SAMAs candidates were unveiled at The Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, with the organising committee confirming that they had relocated to Durban for the next three years.
The 29th annual event will be place at the Durban International Convention Centre on November 17 and 18.
