During an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag via The Episode Podcast, Forbes addressed the authenticity of the beef, emphasizing that, based on her interactions with AKA, she believed it was genuine. She asserted, “I think it was real (the beef) because I will tell you, Kiernan would talk to me, and if it wasn’t real I would’ve picked it up.”
Forbes acknowledged her limited knowledge of the intricate details surrounding the feud, highlighting the inherent confidentiality between mother and son. She stated, “I don’t know the ins and outs of it. I’m the mom, and you guys are boys; you don’t disclose everything to your mother.”
Despite the curiosity surrounding the origins of the beef, Forbes maintained that boys share selectively with their mothers, driven by a protective instinct and various other considerations. The revelation adds a poignant layer to the narrative, suggesting that the rivalry had a genuine and deeply impactful nature.
Cassper Nyovest later shed light on the history of the beef in an interview on L-Tido’s podcast, expressing the intensity of the conflict. He revealed, “The Kiernan thing was bad, yoh! Kiernan used to be the first thing I think about when I wake up, at that moment, at that period.” The candid revelations provide a nuanced understanding of the emotional toll the feud took on the artists involved.
