Prior to the next season, Kaizer Chiefs are rumored to have already begun their recruiting drive and signed three players.
Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, a center defender for SuperSport United, has already been officially announced as a Chiefs player. Mduduzi Mdantsane and Given Msimango are also said to have joined the team.
In a dramatic purge at the conclusion of the previous campaign, Chiefs let go of a number of seasoned players, some of whom had spent a considerable amount of time with the team but had failed to win any trophies for Amakhosi.
It is anticipated that they will also experience a similar exodus, which may involve forcing a number of gamers out the exit door.
Chiefs would definitely try to have some players enter Naturena through the doors in order to make up for the exits.
Msimango, the captain of TS Galaxy, is one of those players who is anticipated to be formally introduced as an Amakhosi player at the conclusion of the season. Before the current season began, the player had a lot of ties to the club, but nothing ultimately came of those relationships.
Zwane did not approach the Galaxy at that point despite Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi publicly declaring his willingness to work with the player and essentially encouraging teams like Chiefs to make an offer for the star.
Amakhosi club insiders confirmed to this magazine that Msimango’s association with the club was a media fabrication.
But as of right now, it looks that Chiefs have actually captured their target—albeit at a significant cost to Galaxy.
Soccer-Laduma reports that Amakhosi intends to pay the Rockets upwards of R4 million in order to sign Msimango before Soweto rival Orlando Pirates.
Given that the athlete won’t be 26 until May, that may well be a fair value.
