Black Coffee Endures Significant Injuries During Emergency Landing
As details of DJ Black Coffee’s unfortunate plane incident circulate among fans, additional information has come to light. On Wednesday night, the renowned music producer’s team issued a statement through his official media channels, revealing that the 47-year-old artist had been receiving medical attention following an incident during his flight.

The award-winning musician, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, was en route to a performance in Mar Del Plata, Argentina when he encountered a “severe travel accident,” resulting in unforeseen complications and injuries, according to the statement.
Reports from the Daily Mail indicate that the flight experienced intense turbulence while traveling from Brazil to Argentina. The British publication further detailed that Black Coffee underwent surgery to address “severe blows” to his body sustained during the incident on his private plane.
A statement from Club Mute, the venue where Black Coffee was scheduled to perform, conveyed the regretful news to Argentinian fans: “Dear Argentinian fans, Black Coffee regrets to inform you that, as a result of severe air turbulence on his private plane from Florianopolis to Mar del Plata, he had to make an emergency landing at Montevideo Airport. He suffered severe blows to his body, and at this moment, he is at a clinic in the same city under observation.”
According to the Daily Mail, Uruguayan media reported that the statement was released shortly before the scheduled surgery. Black Coffee, who was last in South Africa in November of the previous year, was pictured with his alleged new partner, Venezuelan beauty Victoria Gonzalez, at the opening of luxury fashion brand Amiri’s new store at Sandton City’s prestigious Diamond Walk. Photographs of the couple were also shared in the press release distributed to the media after the store’s opening.
