Well, it is a shocker that he is kissing his on-screen character of Bab’ Nsimbi in the soapie. The celebrated actor is one of the recent lead actors who have been axed from the drama series.
However, the reasons behind his exit are still known, but the rumour mill seems to be singing from a different hymnal. Sources have it that the showrunners felt that the seasoned actor failed to increase viewership on the show. In the mix of things, Ronald confirmed that he’s leaving the soapie and shared that he’s grateful for the opportunity they gave him to showcase his talent.
Reports have it that the celebrated actor is yet to come to terms with his exit from the drama series. The 64-year-old brought about drama capped with thrills with his on-screen character of Bab’ Nsimbi. We can all agree that he had fast become that star actor we all love to hate.
The actor joins a host of actors who has been axed from the drama series of late. The most-watched drama series recently booted lead actors, including Maphumulo and Menzi Biyela. A few months after their exit, the reasons behind their fallout with the show are yet to be esterblished. However, confirmed sources have since revealed that the producers felt the old man did not influence increasing the number of viewers on the show.
The actor confirmed that he’s leaving Uzalo, adding that “there are no hard feelings”. According to the latest teasers, his exit is slated for the end of January. His exit will come as a brutal death, leaving him with no chance to bounce back on the show, unlike other actors who have bowed out of the drama series with arrests only to show up again.
