UNCLE Waffles is starting the year with a bang.
The young DJ, whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane, has been announced as one of the musicians who will play at Coachella – one of the most popular music festivals in the world.
It will be held in-between two weekends, 14 and 16 April as well as 21 and 23 April, in California, USA.
The line-up is filled with big stars including Bad Bunny, Blackpink, Frank Ocean, Rosalia, Calvin Harris, Kenny Walker, Chris Lake, Kaytranada and Pusha T.
Taking to social media, the 22-year-old posted the line-up with the caption: “Crying, vomiting, screaming!”
Social media users have been congratulating her since then, while she has also been trending.
Hush Papi said Uncle Waffles deserved the opportunity.
“So happy and proud; very well-deserved. Genuinely, this is the news that should be all over our local newspapers and social media platforms. How I wish to see the support from everyone on this. This is big! Congratulations.”
Then Shady Lurker added: “Yerrr! The person or team you have surrounded yourself with and that you have tasked with growing your brand is working proper. They don’t relax or sleep. Well done!”
Trina wrote: “Uncle Waffles’ journey has been like a dream. She’s so deserving of this!”
Uncle Waffles became popular last year after sharing a video of herself playing Kabza De Small and Young Stunna’s hit, Adiwele.
