6 Actresses Who Were Fired By Muvhango And Their Reasons

It’s usual for actresses to come and leave, and firings of public figures are always accompanied by reasons.

These South African actors have left some of their most notable roles on South African television, but they have no intention of leaving the field.

Instead, they have moved on to more lucrative possibilities elsewhere. The former Muvhango presenter from South Africa is under investigation.

Khanyi Mbau

Khanyi Mbau, born Khanyisile Mbau, is a well-known performer in South Africa. Actress, TV host, artist, and entrepreneur Mbau was just let go from the Muvhango set.

Mbau replaced Lindiwe Chibi as Doobsie on Muvhango when her boyfriend Dan Mokoena shot Chibi in 2004. A year later, she lost her job ostensibly due to her frequent appearances in the Sunday tabloids and other social events.

Samuel Buhle

The 26-year-old Buhle Samuels, a TV personality and actress in South Africa, is most known for her role as “Matshidiso Mofokeng” in the hit soap opera Muvhango, broadcast on SABC 2.

According to insiders, she quit the program for a number of reasons, including her frequent on-set brawls and short temper. But there are also tales that indicate Buhle departed Muvhango in search of brighter pastures. She previously quit the show for two years to pursue acting and music.

This time, a reliable source said, she was fired after landing a role in another program.

Simpiwe Ngema

Actress Simphiwe Ngema rose to fame after portraying the lead in the hit South African soap opera “Muvhango.”

On Mo Flava’s Metro FM Morning Fix show, Simphiwe was a guest. She enjoyed her time on the show very much while working on it. She knew it was time to move on and develop into the person God had planned for her to be.

The producers of the show supposedly didn’t consider her role to be “productive.”

Azwindohwi Malaka

Actress Azwidohwi Malaka is the latest member of the Muvhango cast to be let go by the show’s creator, Duma Ndlovu. According to reports, Malaka, who played Pfuluwani, Chief Azwinndini’s second wife, was removed from the soap opera for poor acting and chronic tardiness.


Jo-Anne Reyneke

South African actress Jo-anne Reyneke is recognized for her role as Pearl on the soap opera SABC 2’s Muvhango.

She moved on from Muvhango to Intersexions in 2013. She visited Rhythm City later that year.

After being cast in Rhythm City, she decided to leave Muvhango. As it garnered her some attention, she figured it was her big break.

Phindile Gwala

After almost five years, Amanda Ngudle announced on TshisaLIVE that she had handed in her resignation letter to the Phindile.
