South Africans back Miss Kwara, snub Chidimma Adetshina In Miss Universe Nigeria

Ufa Dania, a Miss Universe Nigeria contestant from faraway South Africa, is a fan favourite. Ms Dania, who represents Kwara State, has seen an increase in votes as South African netizens vote in large numbers for her.

South Africans gathered in large numbers on X and Facebook to support Ms Dania. The 25-year-old is the first full-figured contender in Miss Universe Nigeria history.

Her appearance immediately draws attention to her, sparking debates and comments about her appearances, specifically her eligibility to compete in a pageant where the entrants are often slender.

The 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant is hotly fought for the first time, and the reason is not farfetched.

Chidimma Adetshina, an embattled competitor in the recently held Miss South Africa pageant, is one of the contestants.

Mzansi has thrown its support behind Ufa Dania as she vies for the title, beating out former Miss South Africa (SA) 2024 finalist, Chidimma Onwe Adetshina, representing Miss Taraba.

Miss Kwara accumulated 51,738 votes, accounting for 28.93% of the total, while Adetshina garnered 48,158 votes, making up 26.92% of the overall votes.
