Bonang amused after Kenny Kunene is appointed Joburg Mayor

The significant victory of Bonang Matheba reclaiming possession of her well-known and Woollies best-selling MMC sparkling wine beverage, House of BNG, has been lately celebrated.

Reports state:

… After a two-year legal battle with her former management company, it seems that Matheba has come out victorious. This is as she took to social media to share the winter campaign for House of BNG.

Moreover, she made it clear in a very Bonang way that her battle with CSA over her MCC sparkling wine brand is officially over.

….a heist gone wrong!! Lol!! The End. 🥂

I reached out to Bonang Matheba and Celebrity Services Africa (CSA) about their #HouseOfBNG legal dispute.

The matter has come to an end and here’s what both parties had to say https://t.co/pYa5h99SDo

Now that she appears to have more time on her hands, Queen B* appears to be able to concentrate on every aspect of South Africa’s sociopolitical environment. Rather than keeping a close check on what’s happening in the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture like she has been doing for years, she is doing this instead.

As a result, it appears that Matheba had something to say when it was revealed that Kenny Kunene, an ex-convict who later became a reformed blesser and is now a politician, is the acting mayor of the City of Johannesburg.

Bonang pokes fun at newly appointed Joburg Mayor Kenny Kunene
On Sunday, 14 May 2023, the ongoing musical chairs of who can assume the role of the Mayor of the City of Johannesburg continued to roll over to its latest “best” candidate Kenny Kunene. As reported by iOL:

Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene will take the reins – albeit for a short while – in the City of Joburg after he was appointed as acting mayor while newly-appointed mayor Kabelo Gwamanda is away on business.

Kunene, a member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for Roads and Transport, is in the driver’s seat for only two days as Gwamanda is in Cape Town on government business.

Jozi Maboneng, haaaa.

Where politic$ is a game of snakes and ladders. #KennyKunene pic.twitter.com/4Wiupi1wqM

In light of the news, Bonang was part of the commentators on the news. As such, Matheba wished that Kenny can tap back into his blesser days like when he was eating sushi over half-naked women and was a club owner.

I hope they re open ZAR. I bought a new dress 🫣🤣😭💔🤷🏽‍♀️ https://t.co/xLiMPlaAgs

Kunene opened his high-rolling club back in 2010 and after two years, he decided to close the club in 2012. At the time, the matter was reported on by the Sowetan sharing that:

It was a bitter-sweet last hurray shindig at a teeming ZAR Lounge in Sandton on Saturday night when co-owner Kenny Kunene announced the closure of the popular nightspot.

The official reason for the closure of the ZAR Lounge is that the owners of the Radisson Hotel – where the club has been renting for the past three years – wanted to use the space for their own business.
