S.A’s A Listers React To The End Of SA’s Bona Magazine!
The magazines which will suffer from this withdrawal include Bona Magazine, Country Life and People. The closure of these magazines comes hot on the heels of Cosmopolitan, which had to shut its doors on Friday, following revenue predicaments.
Another Covid-19 casualty has been claimed from the magazine industry. This follows after The Board of Directors of Caxton & CTP Publishers & Printers Limited (Cat), announced on Tuesday that, it has begun a process of withdrawing from magazine publishing and associated businesses.
Bona had a successful run over the years and it won the hearts of many readers, as it incorporated different elements into it including food recipes, gossips and celebs interviews. But, the closure of it is a hard pill to swallow and scores of employees have now sadly lost their jobs.
Numerous celebs have been very lucky to grace the magazine during its time. The last cover star to grace the magazine was songstress Simphiwe Dana. Celebs including Dineo Langa and Thembisa Mdoda, have also expressed their shock over the closure of the magazine.
Caxton Magazines?. This is a lot. So heartbreaking? !!!

My heart is saddened by the loss of Bona Magazine. It put women and their stories on a pedestal but also encouraged us to believe in our possibilities. Sending light for everyone on the BONA team.
