Businessman Leeroy Sidambe has denied beating up his girlfriend, YouTuber and social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase.
Mihlali posted and then deleted Instagram photos showing bruises on her face with the caption, “Thank you, my angel Leeroy.”
Sidambe said Mihlali called him 78 times on Sunday and then came to his house.
He said she tried to stab him after she accused him of cheating on her.
Sidambe claimed he acted in self-defence, causing Mihlali’s injuries.
He also said Mihlali had often attacked him, especially when she was under the influence of “substances”.
Screenshots of Mihlali’s bruised face went viral on X.
One user commented: “Mihlali going back to Leeroy is sad. But before we judge her, haven’t we all given someone who didn’t deserve a 2nd chance a 54th chance? Judging someone who does the same thing you’ve done for a different reason is hypocritical.”
Another user said: “Leeroy is trash and an abuser. Now I get why the ex-wife didn’t seem bothered when Mihlali took him from her. She was like onthotse morwalo (weight lifted off) girl.”
On 28 April, Mihlali attended the Fenty Beauty launch party in Los Angeles, where she met pop icon Rihanna.
She faced mockery from US social media users for allegedly editing a photo to look “better” than Rihanna.
