Capetown, South Africa – Parents of a baby girl who was inside a bakkie during a hijacking in Khayelitsha this past weekend can finally relax.
Police have announced that the four-month-old baby has been located and reunited with her family.
The infant was reported missing on Saturday after the bakkie was stolen.
According to police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk, the baby was with her father, who was delivering chicken to his uncle’s house using a white Isuzu bakkie.

Van Wyk added that the child was found abandoned in Makhaza and was safely returned to her mother.
