Orlando Pirates’ young midfield star, Relebohile Mofokeng, has attracted interest from Barcelona, according to exclusive information from the Siya crew.
Since joining the Pirates first team towards the end of the 2022/23 season, the 20-year-old has quickly become a standout player for both the club and the South African national team.
Mofokeng has impressed with his ability to create and score goals, earning praise from those who believe he has the potential to play for some of the biggest clubs in world football.
Mofokeng, who previously had a trial with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, has also sparked interest from other European clubs such as Levante FC in Spain and Scottish powerhouse Rangers.
Sources have now revealed that Barcelona’s B team has expressed interest in the talented midfielder. “Barcelona’s B team coaches have been monitoring Mofokeng and have made inquiries about his availability.
They have reached out through their contacts in the PSL, including coaches they know well, to learn more about him,” a source told the Siya crew.
“His potential to play in Europe’s top leagues has drawn positive feedback so far.”
