Johannesburg, South Africa | Law enforcement officials seized electronic devices from Wilken’s residence, uncovering an estimated 10 million images and videos depicting child s**ual abuse.
Wilken appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday facing charges of possessing and distributing child p****graphy, drug possession, money laundering, and fraud.
He appeared in court wearing jeans, sandals, and a large jacket.
Wilken’s defense argued against a further postponement, stating he was not a flight risk and would not interfere with evidence.
However, Magistrate Hleziphi Mkhasibe dismissed this argument, citing the seriousness of the charges.
The court granted the prosecution more time to investigate over half a million rand found at Wilken’s residence and analyze the seized electronic devices.
Mkhasibe postponed the case to January 28th for further investigation and denied Wilken bail. He is to appear in court 11.
