Man Confesses to Killing Ex-Girlfriend in Viral Video Shared on Facebook

DURBAN — A shocking video has surfaced of a man confessing to allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend, after posting an image of her lifeless body covered in stab wounds online.

The disturbing footage went viral on the evening of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, after the alleged perpetrator shared it on Facebook. Reports indicate the incident took place in Durban earlier that day.

The man, identified on his profile as Sbusiso Lawrence Ntaka, recorded himself with his face smeared in blood, speaking about his actions. Although the video has since been deleted from his Facebook page, copies continue to circulate online. At the time of publication, a photo of the woman’s body, shared at 6:06 PM, remained visible on his profile.

The image shows the victim lying on her back with apparent stab wounds to her neck, her clothes soaked in blood.

Briefly News reached out to KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda for an official statement regarding the incident, but confirmation of the event and the video’s authenticity was still pending.

In the alleged confession, Ntaka appears to justify his actions, claiming the woman had betrayed him by becoming pregnant with another man’s child while they were still together and then ending their relationship.

“Nizothi ngisihluku. Ngizamile, ngisebenze kanzima empilweni yami trying to satisfy a woman. Ngizama ukumujabulisa. Ngizame ukuthi umuntu wesifazane ukuthi ajabule. Ngizame kanzima. Ngilose izinto eyininga; lots of money. Lots of everything,” he said in IsiZulu.

Translated, he expressed that he had worked hard to make her happy, spent significant amounts of money, and accepted her child as his own. Despite this, she ended the relationship, which he claims led to his actions.

A Facebook user, @ByanByan, later updated the public, confirming that the suspect had been arrested. “Sbusiso is a teacher at Ziphozethu Primary School in KwaDukuza KZN and will appear in court soon,” the post read.

This is a developing story.
