Developers reported that payments from Lekau were received consistently for several months before he defaulted in November and December 2023.
Court documents indicate that Lekau owed nearly R100,000 in rental payments.
This default led to his eviction, resulting in his son and ex-wife losing their home. Additionally, his son was expelled from school due to unpaid tuition fees.
In response to the media reports, Lekau Sehoana issued a statement on Monday denying the allegations and claiming the reports were inaccurate.
He suggested the coverage was an attempt to distract from Drip’s five-year anniversary celebration.

Lekau Sehoana clarified that he has been separated from his soon-to-be ex-wife since 2021 and has had no contact with his son. He explained that he was renting the property for his ex-wife to provide a stable home for their son.
Sehoana mentioned that he had been informed by the landlord that the police sought access to the property as part of their investigation into the murder of Drip’s former MD, Glanda Ndlanzi. When the police arrived, they discovered that his ex-wife had sublet the property to unknown individuals without Sehoana’s or the landlord’s consent, leading to the termination of his lease.
Sehoana also noted that the ongoing divorce proceedings have been challenging and that his efforts to resolve and expedite the process have not yet succeeded.
