TWO people have died following a horrific bus accident in Limpopo in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 22 April.
The crash involved a Zimbabwean bus travelling along the N1 between Makhado and Musina, near Ingwe Motel.
According to the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, the bus reportedly lost control, veered off the road and plunged into a ditch along the N1 North
Department spokeswoman Mashudu Mabata said: “The road has been temporarily reopened. The bus reportedly lost control and veered off the road, landing in a ditch along the N1 North. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where traffic officers and police are managing the situation.
Motorists travelling in the area have been urged to slow down and drive with extreme caution.
Authorities have warned road users to always obey traffic rules to avoid further tragedies.
